Today I want to talk about a book that left me absolutely speechless – “It Ends With Us” by Colleen Hoover. This book is a powerful and emotional story that tackles some heavy topics like domestic abuse and the cycle of violence. 

“It Ends with Us” is the first book I’ve ever read by Colleen Hoover, and let me tell you, it completely blew me away!

From the very first page, I was captivated by the raw emotions, complex characters, and the incredible storytelling. Colleen Hoover has instantly become one of my favourite authors! 

“It Ends with Us” is a beautifully written contemporary romance book that takes readers on an unforgettable journey.

The story follows Lily, a strong and independent woman who finds herself in a new relationship with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid.

This book is a raw and honest look at the effects of abuse and how it can affect not only the victim, but also the people around them. The story also delves into the idea of breaking the cycle of abuse and finding the strength to stand up for oneself, even in the face of overwhelming odds. 

One of the most compelling aspects of the book is the characters. Lily is a relatable and strong-willed protagonist who you can’t help but root for. And then there’s Ryle, who you can’t help but have a total soft spot for, despite his flaws. And let’s not forget about Atlas Corrigan, Lily’s first love who suddenly reappears. The love triangle in this book will keep you on the edge of your seat, trust me!

Hoover’s writing style effortlessly draws you into the story, making it nearly impossible to put down.

The character development in “It Ends with Us” is exceptional. Lily Bloom is a strong, determined protagonist whose journey resonates with readers long after the final page.

We witness her emotional growth, shifting perceptions, and the difficult choices she is forced to make.

Her raw vulnerability adds depth and relatability to her character, making her feel like a close friend.

The progression of Lily’s relationship with Ryle, a seemingly perfect yet troubled love interest, is both captivating and heart-wrenching.

I’m not usually into rom coms, but I am counting down the days until “It Ends with Us” hits the big screens in July.

I’m crossing my fingers that the movie stays true to the book’s powerful message and gives justice to the incredible characters crafted by Colleen Hoover!
