I wasted no time in exploring the hotel’s facilities. I headed straight to the swimming pool, sauna, and steam room, and I have to say, it was the perfect way to unwind and de-stress after a long journey.
The pool was immaculately clean and well-maintained, and the sauna and steam room were incredibly relaxing. But the highlight for me was definitely the jacuzzi on the decking outside overlooking the stunning Lake Windermere.

The views were absolutely breathtaking, with boats passing by and the sunlight glistening on the water. It was such a serene and peaceful experience, and I could have stayed there all day.

Upon checking into my room, I was immediately struck by the spaciousness, cosy ambiance, and tasteful decor. The attention to detail and the comfort of the furnishings made me feel right at home. The panoramic views of the lake from my room were simply breathtaking, and it was the perfect backdrop for a peaceful and restful stay.

The evening began in the lounge, where I was greeted with a selection of delicious canapes. As I sipped on my pre-dinner cocktail, the anticipation for the evening ahead began to build. The décor, the ambiance, and the impeccable service all worked together to create a sense of luxury and exclusivity. It was clear that I was in for a special treat.
After a brief wait, I was escorted to my table. The attention to detail was immediately apparent, with the table impeccably set and the staff ready to attend to my every need. I was treated like royalty from the moment I sat down, and it set the tone for the rest of the evening.
When it came to choosing my meals, after much deliberation, I decided on the Chestnut Mushroom and Truffle Oil Risotto for my starter.
The dish was a perfect blend of flavours, the earthiness of the chestnut mushrooms paired beautifully with the subtle, yet distinct taste of truffle oil.
Each mouthful was a delight for the senses, and it left me eagerly anticipating the next course.
For my main course, I opted for the Confit Duck Leg with sweet potato mash, red cabbage, and poached pear.
The combination of sweet and savoury elements on the plate was absolutely exquisite. The richness of the duck leg was perfectly balanced by the sweetness of the poached pear and the creaminess of the sweet potato mash.
Each element complemented the others, resulting in a dish that was both comforting and sophisticated.
Of course, no fine dining experience would be complete without indulging in a delightful dessert. The Pistachio crème brûlée immediately caught my eye, and it did not disappoint.
The velvety smooth custard was infused with the distinctive flavour of pistachios, and the crackling caramelised sugar on top provided the perfect textural contrast. It was the perfect ending to a truly exceptional meal.
To wash it all down, I enjoyed a refreshing mai tai cocktail. Served in an elegant glass with a garnish of mint, it was the perfect tropical drink to complement the amazing food.
The balance of flavours and the attention to detail in the presentation were indicative of the level of care that was put into every aspect of the dining experience.

I had the best night’s sleep and waking up to go down to breakfast was the perfect start to the day. I was greeted with a warm smile and the continental breakfast had a fantastic selection of food.
There were freshly made breads, croissants and pastries, cold meats and cheeses, cereals, yogurts, and a great selection of fresh fruit.
They even had delicious hot pancakes with toppings to choose from, along with fruit juices and a variety of hot drinks.
As I sat down to look at the breakfast menu, I was immediately drawn to the scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, and avocado on rustic bread. I have always been a fan of savoury breakfasts.
When my plate arrived, I was immediately struck by the beautiful presentation. The eggs were perfectly fluffy topped with chopped chives, the smoked salmon had a delicate smoky flavour, and the avocado was ripe and creamy.
As I took my first bite, I was immediately impressed by the amicable blend of flavours.
Overall, my stay at Beech Hill Hotel & Spa was an unforgettable experience.

After checking out of the hotel, I decided to take a cruise on Windermere Lake, and it was a decision I did not regret.
